My Background

Started making beats when I was in 6th grade (1986). All I had was a Casio sampler keyboard, turntable and two tape decks. By 9th grade I saved up enough money to get myself a drum machine Synsonics Drum machine and also deejaying at parties on week ends. I made a lot of underground tapes with a few classmates that were rapping at the time. By the year 1995 I was attending the Art Institute of Atlanta still doing it but on a professional level Im now using a Ensoniq ASR-10, Boss 660 , Korg 01w, two Technics 1200 turntables, Tascam 688 recorder with meter bridge (sounds better than a cd player lol) but Tascam stopped making as everything was shifting towards digital formats. The computer I was using back then was a Apple Power PC also. I was into the bass music thing at the time and worked with some underground labels but didn't see any real commercial success. Fast forward to now 2010 still doing it when most guys by now have given up...lol. From 1986 to 2010 I evolved probably 5 times since then as for as beat making and playing style. Im now currently playing guitars but I still hold on to my hip hop roots. The more I keep at my craft the better it gets I quess that's why I never given up. Music is about expression.
